The award-winning actor and producer was part of a star-studded event on 16 May where OMEGA showcased its new Seamaster Aqua Terra timepieces. In addition to George Clooney, OMEGA President Stephen Urquhart and Orbis International CEO Jenny Hourihan also addressed the invited guests and French songstress France Owlle entertained them at the end of the evening.

Our Vintage Watch of the Month: Ladies' Jewellery Secret Watch (1955)!



This rare OMEGA ladies' jewellery secret watch was created in 1955. It is crafted from 18K white gold and is set with 50 brilliant cut diamonds and 16 baguette cut diamonds with an impressive total weight of 6.5 carats. The diamonds pave the cover, the bezel and the attachments of the Milanese bracelet. It features an ivory dial and polished gold baton hands. It is powered by a calibre 440 whose winding crown is positioned under the case. With the cover in place, the dial is not visible. The unique, dazzling timepiece was worn by Nicole Kidman at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival yesterday.

In 1970 OMEGA launched a watch which had been created to withstand the crushing pressures endured by divers working deep below the ocean’s surface. It was the Seamaster Professional 600, the so-called "Ploprof" (the first letters of plongeur professionnel – the French words meaning "professional divers") one of the most rugged, robust and seaworthy divers’ wristwatches ever manufactured. Relaunched in 2009 with a Co-Axial caliber 8500, it is water resistant to an incredible 120 bar (1200 metres / 4000 feet).
